A message from Mrs. Bee-
Each morning we start our school day off with a Morning Meeting. This is a great time to touch base with the students and see how they are doing. One very special part of our Morning Meeting is our "Wish You Well." A student leads the Wish You Well and we keep certain people close in our thoughts for the day. Normally, it is our family members, friends, teachers, classmates and school administrators. On one very special morning, a sweet girl named Harper Luter shared a very special "wish you well" for Officer Adams and Mosley. Harper and her mom had enjoyed dinner at Federalsburg Family Restaurant one evening and got the pleasure of seeing Officer Adams and Mosley. Officer Adams shared Mosley's story following his October surgery and how he was recovering. Officer Adams also gave Harper a very special coin that she carries with her every day! The conversation meant so much to Harper and the next day she shared it with the class during our Morning Meeting. Harper wanted to wish both Officer Adams and Mosley well and shared that she wants them to be safe while they are doing their jobs and protecting our community and that she wanted Mosley to keep feeling good. It was so heartfelt and special! As her teacher, I am so in awe of the compassion and kindness Harper shows each day...but this wish you well was very special so I had to share it!
Ironically, I saw Officer Adams around town the very day of Harper's "wish you well" and knew I had to share it with him too! I also shared it with our awesome Town Manager, Kristy Marshall! We would like to give a big THANK YOU to Kristy for arranging such a special visit and to Officer Adams and Mosley for visiting us at FES. Thank you for all you do for our community and Mrs. Bee's Third Grade Class "wishes you well" always!

This Thursday night, May 9, 2024 is our Spring Talent Showcase in the FES Gym beginning at 6PM! Please have your performers come to the music room from 5:30-5:45 PM so that we can prepare for our starting numbers! Also- don’t forget- our BOGO Book Fair will be going on until 7PM that night!

FES kicked off their Hollywood themed Staff Appreciation Week! Today's focus was on the 70's and the Hollywood release of Star Wars. Staff participated in a Star Wars "Escape Room" and many made it out of the galaxy! Come back tomorrow to see more of our fun.
